TOPRA has been working with a diverse group of employers to create an apprenticeship for regulatory affairs as part of its commitment to encourage access to and training in the profession.
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist (Healthcare/Veterinary) apprenticeship standard is now approved and ready for delivery. You can see the behaviours, skills and knowledge apprentices will deliver during the apprenticeship here.
In the UK, the apprenticeship will provide employers with an opportunity to use funds from the Apprenticeship Levy scheme to train new entrants in regulatory affairs or even to develop existing staff. Companies in the UK who do not pay the levy should also be able to access government funds to support the training of apprentices in due course.
Outside of the UK, the apprenticeship standard, the assessment plan and training provision will be available for all employers to use regardless of which country they are based in; either by sending their apprentices to TOPRA for training or by using the documents as a benchmark against which to train apprentices locally.
TOPRA is a registered training provider for apprentices. Organisations that pay the apprenticeship levy can sign their apprentices up to TOPRA training now. TOPRA will be applying for funds to provide apprenticeship training to non-levy paying organisations based in England when the next funding call opens.
If you have an apprentice you would like to access training for, or you are an SME interested in making use of the funding available to train an apprentice please contact email@example.com.
