Which membership is right for you?

Associate (Student)

You can join TOPRA as soon as you start your regulatory affairs studies. If you are enrolled on a BSc (or equivalent) degree course in regulatory affairs you can claim a complimentary TOPRA Associate (Student) membership for the duration of your under-graduate studies.

Key facts summary

Complimentary Associate (Student) membership offers restricted benefits and is not full TOPRA membership. TOPRA reserves the right to alter terms without prior notice.

Associates (Student) are entitled to member rate discounts on TOPRA courses and events. Discount levels vary according to the selected course or/event.

Complimentary Associate (Student) membership is limited to the duration of full time BSc studies (or international equivalent). This is typically three years after the course start date and will expire unless extension is requested. 

TOPRA will request evidence of student status. Typically, this will be confirmation of enrolment at the academic body. If the student leaves full time study, the entitlement to complimentary membership will cease. 

Associate (Student) members are not entitled to voting rights at our General Meeting or Annual General Meetings.

Concessionary Rates 

You may apply for a concessionary rate which is  half of your usual TOPRA fee if you are:

  • Long term unemployed (6 months or more)
  • On parental/adoption leave 
  • On long term sick leave (6 months or more)
  • Permanently retired
     

Concessionary membership will be valid for one membership year only. 

Please apply by contacting membership@topra.org You will be required to supply evidence to support your status. All information will be treated in strictest confidence and in accordance with our privacy policy. 

Emerging Markets

If you are an established regulatory affairs professional working in or interested in regulatory affairs and based in a low-to-middle income country* (as defined  by the World Bank), we are delighted to offer a 50% discount on the full price membership fee for our Associate (Related Fields), Associate Member, MTOPRA and FTOPRA memberships.  

For the reduced fee, members in emerging markets can take advantage of the full suite of member benefits. Evidence of your location may be requested.

Note: membership subscriptions expire at the end of each calendar year regardless of when during the year you join.
