Current position and relevant professional experience:
Currently I am the Vice President and Head of Global Regulatory Affairs at ADVANZ PHARMA. I have 22 years of working experience in Regulatory Affairs. Before my current organisation, I have worked with companies such as Fresenius Kabi and Ranbaxy Laboratories. I have a Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences from an Indian reputed University and also have a diploma in IP Law.
Current or previous involvement in TOPRA activities:
I have acted as the Chair for TOPRA IN India since 2020 when it was founded and have enjoyed leading various initiatives to help grow awareness about TOPRA in India. We have been able to organise many webinars, publication in Regulatory Rapporteur and also organised two face to face events in India over the last few years. We have a dynamic steering group and a great plan ahead to expand the horizon of TOPRA IN INDIA like never before.
I have also served a two-year term as a TOPRA Board of Director for the period 2023-2024, which was a great experience for me.
Personal statement:
With 22 years in the regulatory profession, 6 years as Chair of the TOPRA IN INDIA Steering Group, and previous experience on the TOPRA Board, I bring both strategic perspective and a record of delivery. In India, I have helped build an enthusiastic steering group and supported a programme of webinars, face-to-face events and professional development initiatives.
I believe representation from the Asian subcontinent would help TOPRA broaden its perspective, diversify its leadership and scale its international impact. There is a growing opportunity to collaborate with influential stakeholders working with the Indian government who are seeking partners to strengthen regulatory training, professional standards and curriculum development across universities and industry.
As a Board Director, I would contribute to TOPRA's policy and strategic decisions while providing practical, on-the-ground leadership to convert ambition into sustainable partnerships, expanded regional engagement and a stronger pipeline of regulatory professionals across India and the wider Asian region.
