Vivek Tomar (part of the Syneos Health Global Regulatory Affairs Solutions (GRAS) India team)

Executive Director, Head of India, Lead APAC : Global Regulatory Affairs Solutions & Medical Writing, Syneos Health

Support Award winner 2025

How did your team feel when they were selected as one of our finalists?

The team felt incredibly proud and motivated. We often say that the TOPRA Awards are the like Oscars of the regulatory world and being shortlisted, validated the hard work they do every day for our clients, for regulatory science and for the patients we serve. It also boosted their confidence that their efforts are being recognised at a global level.

What does this recognition mean to you both personally and professionally?

Personally, it was a moment of immense pride. And professionally, it reinforced my belief that a culture of quality, commitment, continuous learning, and collaboration truly leads to exceptional outcomes. It inspired me and team to continue raising the bar.

How did you feel when you won?

When we won, it was an overwhelming experience with a mix of joy, gratitude, and pride. Knowing the work my team delivered, the accomplishment we have achieved, the feedback we have received from our clients and partners, I was honestly very hopeful, but at the same time, I was extremely nervous because I know the outstanding, robust process of selection and very tough competition. So, nothing was certain. But when we won, I felt really humbled and deeply honoured on behalf of the team because this win reflects their dedication, this alliance and commitment to excellence.

What would you say to encourage people to nominate their friends and colleagues for the awards?

Recognising people amplifies their impact. As they say about the Olympics, participation is important, not always winning. Similarly for a TOPRA Award, a nomination is not just an entry. It's a powerful way to celebrate excellence and motivate individuals and teams to continue making a real difference. So, my request to everyone is please go ahead, nominate your colleagues, friends, team, not only for them, but also for the growth and celebration of regulatory profession and professionals, which I always say are unsung heroes of biopharmaceutical industry.

What advice would you give to someone who is aspiring to win such an award in the future?

Stay committed to delivering real value, be consistent, and please, whenever you do the work, always put the patients we serve at the centre. Focus on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement. When you do the right things consistently, recognition naturally follows. And that's why I want to dedicate this Award to not only to my team, but to every regulatory professional who chooses excellence every day.
