Nominee Stories

Margareth Jorvid
CEO, Methra Uppsala AB

Inspiration Award winner 2025

How did you feel when you were nominated?

When I was nominated, I was, of course, very, very happy, honoured and grateful for the person that had nominated me.

What does this recognition mean to you both personally and professionally?

This recognition in the TOPRA Awards personally was wonderful. I love working as a regulatory affairs professional and to receive the Award in the Inspiration category was really wonderful.

Professionally, I do love challenges, and I think this is recognition that is not only one person, it's also working together as a team and when you work together to reach a goal. This is also a way to recognise that the work regulatory professionals do is very inspiring.

How did you feel when you won?

When I won, I was surprised. But so happy and again grateful, very honoured to receive this Award. I'm so happy and I will keep my trophy close to my heart.

What would you say to encourage people to nominate their friends and colleagues for the awards?

The TOPRA Award for Regulatory Excellence is a way to recognise regulatory professionals for the key work that regulatory is doing for medicinal products and for medical devices to actually reach patients. It is teamwork, but it is a way to recognise the regulatory part of it.

What advice would you give to someone who is aspiring to win such an award in the future?

I'm not sure I can give advice to do that, but just to say that regulatory affairs is a fantastic profession. There are so many perspectives, and I've tried several of them to work as a regulator, but also to work in a corporate function in big companies and also to work in small companies and in affiliates, close to marketing, and also as a consultant. And I think the wonderful thing is that you work as a team. You work together with key professionals in CMC, non-clinical, clinical, and others. And it's really regulatory that brings it all together. Just love what you're doing!
