The inaugural TOPRA careers fair, Regulatory Careers - Live! took place on 27 April at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in central London.
Over 100 delegates from across mainland Europe attended, ranging from young professionals already working in the profession to graduates about to start out.
During the day speakers from pharmaceutical companies, consultancies and the MHRA gave inspiring talks on how to get into the profession, whilst a selection of young professionals offered up useful advice on how they made the transition from graduate to regulatory affairs.
There was also the opportunity to have a one-to-one talk with a careers advisor, which proved so popular that extra virtual sessions had to be booked for next week.
Executive Director of TOPRA, Lynda Wight said: 'Regulatory Careers -Live! was a resounding success. As the professional body for regulatory affairs we believe we have an obligation to play our role in enabling future practitioners to find the right pathway that suits their career aspirations and it is our intention moving forward to be at the vanguard of this transitional stage for many members of our profession.'
The 2017 careers fair is already being planned. Details will be available from the Autumn of 2016.
