TOPRA announces new board for 2020

The results of the latest elections to the TOPRA Board of Directors were announced by Executive Director Lynda Wight at the organisation’s Annual Review Meeting in Dublin on 1 October.  

The President-Elect for 2020 was announced as Anne Nallen, a veterinary regulatory specialist based in Ireland. The four new Directors are Janine Jamieson, Aine Kane, Evgenia Mengou and Fiona Reekie.

Announcing the results, Wight commented: “We have been delighted that members have stepped forward to take part in the election process and that the successful candidates represent a range of experience and interests.”

The new Directors will join Steve Hayes, Nick Sykes, Natalie Tolli and Eva Kopecna as the leadership team from January 2020, meaning the Board will include members based in Ireland, Sweden, USA and Switzerland, as well as the UK.

Steve Hayes, who will assume the role of President in 2020, commented: “I am greatly looking forward to working with this excellent team as we implement our new strategic plan. I would also like to thank those who have served during 2019 for their input into our vision for TOPRA’s future.”

Newly appointed Chief Executive Kevin Pay added: “The partnership between Board and Executive is crucial for the success of the business and TOPRA’s ability to deliver what the regulatory community wants. I am looking forward to working alongside this team to achieve great things in 2020.”
