The EMA Relocates to Amsterdam: a short statement from TOPRA

Posted on 21/11/2017

TOPRA welcomes the news that the EMA relocation country has been selected. We look forward to continuing good working relationships with The Netherlands and all national agencies across the EU to support the transition.

There is now less than two years for the agency to take up its operations in its new host country before the United Kingdom withdraws from the EU at the end of March 2019. As well as dealing with the complexities of the timetable outlined by the UK Government and the EU, the EMA will also be in the process of bedding down and establishing itself in its new host city during this time.

TOPRA will be supporting regulatory professionals wherever they are based to ensure a smooth transition and help minimise disruption to the healthcare regulatory system.
