Speaker
Melanie Pires is a Leading Senior Pharmaceutical Assessor at the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Her key responsibilities involve the assessment of chemistry and pharmacy documentation supporting applications for new (chemical) drugs, herbal medicines, generic products, line extensions and variations. Melanie is also a Member of the British Pharmacopoeia Committee on Herbal and Complementary Medicines. She has a degree in Pharmacy and a PhD in pharmacognosy and has experience in academia, community and hospital pharmacy.
