This specially programmed day for SMEs offers a choice of topics in the morning covering an introduction to ATMPs, cell and gene therapies – the future, the regulatory role in early access schemes to patients, clinical trial regulation and two veterinary topics covering antimicrobial resistance and advanced therapies. In the afternoon, there is an opportunity to understand regulatory challenges specific to SMEs, with a presentation by the SME Office at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the support they can offer, plus sharing of experiences by SME companies.
