Volunteer Module Leaders required for MSc Regulatory Affairs TOPRA, and Cranfield Medical Technology Regulatory Affairs

TOPRA is looking for a small number of module leaders for the MSc in Regulatory Affairs. This is a voluntary opportunity (i.e. non salaried position) taking a few days’ work. All relevant expenses incurred in the role will be covered (eg travel costs and attendance at the specific module you will be helping to organise).

Each Module is organised by a Module Leader who will work in close consultation with the Course Director and Course Administrator.

Administrative support is available from the Course Administrator. If the Module Leader prefers they can invite other regulatory professionals to assist with their Module Leader responsibilities. You can have one or two helpers to attend the module to help with the running of the module.

Key responsibilities:

  • In organizing individual Modules, the Module Leaders should familarise themselves with the Learning Objectives for their specific Module, as set on the course curriculum, which has been formulated and agreed between TOPRA and the University of Wales.
  • Working with the Course Director they should formulate the delivery of the Module that will meet the learning outcomes and also include where appropriate current awareness/hot topics of interest that may be attractive to a larger audience.
  • Review and/or help prepare course work questions for the module to ensure that these are appropriate with the content of the module.
  • Identifying and contacting speakers for the module including preparing a brief for the speakers.
  • Be responsible for chairing the module or finding appropriate chair(s) for the module.
  • Prepare a short report of how the module went. A standard template is provided for this.
  • Liaise with the Course Administrator concerning the administrative arrangements for the module.
