TOPRA in Austria
The aim of TOPRA In Austria is to establish a network of local Regulatory Affairs professionals with regular informal meetings for sharing experiences and exchange of knowledge.
The first networking event was held on the 1st December in Vienna, supported by a presentation on multilingual packaging material for human & veterinary medical products, available for download below.

Liebe TOPRA in Austria Gruppe!
The last Topra In Austria Event - the “Spring-get-together” – took place in Vienna on 15th March 2012.
RA colleagues working in the human as well as veterinary field exchanged experiences with and beyond eCTD (and other electronic submissions).
After a brief introduction we delved into the details resulting in a lively, open and finally informal discussion. We spoke about the challenges and benefits of eCTD and its impact on the RA daily working routine.
The main topics were: eCTD – benefit or burden for RA; Centralized Procedure and other MAAs; transfer of legacy documents into the electronic system and
Miscellaneous (Documents, Data, etc)
After all “official” topics on our agenda were discussed, the group took the opportunity to chat about other hot topics. The one or other interesting experience was shared and concluded a nice networking late afternoon.
Thanks to for the active participation and lively discussions! We are looking forward to our next TOPRA in Austria event on 13th June (details will be published soon).

Am 15. März 2012 fanden die TOPRA In Austria "Frühlingsgespräche" in Wien statt. Vertreter mehrerer pharmazeutischer Unternehmen aus dem Human- und Veterinärsektor trafen sich für einen Austausch zum Thema "eCTD - elektronische Einreichungen". In einer sehr lebhaften und vor allem offenen Diskussion wurden eine Vielzahl an Themenkreisen diskutiert, sowie Einblicke in persönliche Erfolgsgeschichten aber auch in Herausforderungen gegeben.
Aus den am Anfang der Gesprächsrunde formulierten Eckpunkten "elektronische Einreichung - Verbesserung oder Stolperstein für RA", "Centralized und andere Zulassungsverfahren", "Transfer bestehender Zulassungen ins elektronische System" und "Dokumentation, Daten, Diverses" entwickelte sich rasch ein informeller und offener Diskurs mit Beiträgen aller Anwesenden.
Zu praktischen Tipps für eine erfolgreiche eSubmission, Infos über Vor- und Nachteile von Document Management Systemen und deren Integration in bestehende Firmenstrukturen gesellten sich auch Fragen zum grundsätzlichen Wandel des Berufsbilds von Regulatory Affairs Professionals, dessen Vermittlung und der Interaktion mit anderen Bereichen innerhalb einer Organisation.
Zu guter Letzt ergab sich auch die Möglichkeit in informellem Rahmen aktuell brennende Themen mit Fachkollegen auszutauschen und sich den einen oder anderen Tipp zu holen. Der einzige Wermutstropfen dieser sonst sehr erfolgreichen Veranstaltung: trotz des fast schon frühsommerlichen Schönwetters blieben wir leider "in-doors". Vielen herzlichen Dank an alle Beteiligten für die rege Teilnahme!
