17.3% entered the profession straight from University with 82.7% having carried out a different job before joining Regulatory Affairs.

Of those who did another job, most were in Research (44.8%). The second largest section of respondents (16.7%) was in QA. The other categories (Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Information or Manufacturing) have a share of about 5 to 6% of the respondents.

Again, there was a large variety of ‘other’ answers. They range from Project Planning and Hospital Pharmacist to QC Micro Biology and Software Development. The full list can be found in Appendix 6.
