Japan Special Interest Network
There has been a Japan special interest group in the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) for over 10 years. However, the restructuring at ABPI has meant that the objectives of the group no longer fit with those of ABPI (which is now focusing more on UKspecific issues such as pricing and reimbursement etc).
As current members can see the value of this group’s continuing existence, we’ve been in touch with TOPRA about ‘moving’ the group into becoming a Special Interest Network (SPIN). This is a good opportunity for us to expand the group since in the past we’ve been restricted to member companies of ABPI – we would envisage an inaugural meeting in early summer.
