How to Apply for Membership

To apply for membership, fill in our online Application form. Alternatively you can download it on the right or request a form from membership@topra.org

To remain a member, all you need to do is pay the annual subscription promptly each year. Renewal letters are sent to remind all members that their annual subscription is due.

Can I propose others?

The Board of TOPRA encourages all members to suggest names of those who may be considered for Honorary Life Membership and the Fellowship Appointment Panel only considers those who have been nominated by others. If you have a colleague who you think might benefit from TOPRA membership, you can e-mail membership@topra.org and ask for an information pack and application form to be sent to them. Alternatively you can refer them to this website.

From time to time, TOPRA may introduce schemes where existing members can gain additional benefits by nominating others for membership – such schemes will be published via the In Touch newsletter.

What obligations do I have?

Applicants for membership of TOPRA are obliged to complete their application form (and in the case of Registered Members, the annual declaration) accurately and honestly. Members should also keep their contact details up-to-date, either by notifying changes to the office, or by updating them via this website. When they join, all new members are sent the Rules of Membership and a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association that explain clearly the rare circumstances in which a member might be refused or asked to leave.
