Kingston University buildingWe are delighted to announce that Kingston University London is the first academic institution to have a degree module accredited by TOPRA.

“Pharmaceutical Science with Regulatory Affairs”, part of the BSc Pharmaceutical Science degree, was reviewed by our accreditation panel and has been granted accreditation.

The course seeks to provide students with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the core areas of pharmaceutical science and associated legal framework for the use of therapeutic agents in society. These include learning how to design, synthesise and develop drugs through the study of appropriate examples, as well as an understanding of how the regulatory framework is intertwined with practical and scientific considerations.

Samantha Cooper, TOPRA’s Director of Professional Development, said: “We are delighted to accredit this regulatory affairs module and hope that it will help to raise awareness of regulatory affairs at undergraduate level. There is a significant skills gap in the profession and this is one of the initiatives we have developed to develop the regulatory talent pipeline.”
