To become a Member of TOPRA, simply complete our online application form or print the application form and forward it to the TOPRA office with the appropriate fee.  Alternatively, please call our offices and we will send you an application form by post.  Fee reductions are available for students and for retired/career break members. Your application will be processed as soon as possible and you will receive confirmation that you are a Member and a welcome pack.

Registered Member

Members who are currently working in the field of Regulatory Affairs and who choose to do so may apply to become a Registered Member. The Member completes and signs a declaration at the time of the initial application and annually thereafter to confirm that he/she is qualified to at least first degree level (or recognised equivalent), has at least two years’ full-time regulatory experience, is currently engaged in Regulatory Affairs in some capacity and is taking steps to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date. This category of membership has the same voting rights and services as Members, but will also be able to use the designation MTOPRA.

Fellows

Members who have at least ten years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs, and who can be shown to have made a significant contribution to the profession can be nominated by their peers to become Fellows. An international committee, the Fellowship Appointment Panel, reviews all nominations.  Those accepted for Fellowship have all the benefits of membership, including voting rights and are entitled to use the abbreviation FTOPRA after their name to signify their status. Nomination forms and full instructions on the nomination process are available from the TOPRA offices or can be downloaded here.

Honorary Life Members

At its discretion, the Board of TOPRA can appoint individuals, who may or may not have been members, but who have been important in the field of Regulatory Affairs, as Honorary Life Members.  Newly appointed Honorary Life Members will be announced in the newsletter and presented with their award at a suitable public TOPRA meeting.  They do not have voting rights and cannot stand for election.
